The Ritual.
"Abhyanga"
In Ayurveda, there is an inherent connection between enveloping the body in oil and love through Abhyanga. Both experiences can give a deep feeling of stability, warmth, and comfort.
“Abhyanga” the ayurvedic oil massage helps the skin, perform its diverse functions efficiently, whether it is allowing toxins to be released from the body or nourishment to be absorbed by the tissues. Having an auspicious oil bath before sunrise nourishes pacifies doshas, and helps the body absorb sattvik energy from the atmosphere.
The Product.
Advaya’s herbal bath powder is inspired by the ayurvedic practice of abhyanga. The package consists of body oil, ubtan, and rose and hibiscus fragrances for the face.
Abhyanga followed by ubtan is a wholesome sensorial experience that enhances the complexion and luster of the skin, while nourishing your body.

The Process.
"Spirituality is a science of experience"
It is a process that is not meant to simply get away from it all. but to allow oneself to encounter, see, and experience the truth. A bath with the right spiritual emotion is a powerful tool to attain positivity from the water and environment while eliminating negative energy. This act of linking the sensations in the body to the ideas in the mind is the essence of all rituals. This process will help change our consciousness and our perception of our identity on how we fit in this world and help us gain access to the spiritual dimension. It cleanses the dirt from both body and mind.

Touch
The ritual starts with an oil massage to nourish the nervous system, stimulate blood circulation, and tone the skin. Oil has to be slightly lukewarm, for better absorption and to strengthen the physiology. Massage the chest and abdomen in a clockwise direction and the arms and legs in the direction of your heart, with long strokes on the muscle and circular movements on the joints. Use more oil and spend more time where nerve endings are concentrated, such as the soles of the feet, palms of the hands.

Breathe
Taking deep breaths while massaging stimulates your body’s energy channels promoting the easy flow of prana through your mind and body. Once you have massaged your body, give yourself the gift of silence by turning off your inner critic and switching on your ability to relax into that part of you that is pure.

Feel
Make a semi-liquid paste of the bathing powder, with milk or rosewater(and use fragrances accordingly). Scrub this paste evenly on the body in circular motions, giving attention to the feet and the back of your palms. The rose and hibiscus powder can separately be added for the face.
Smell
Breathing deeply into the aroma from the paste while applying, helps provide relief from stress and anxiety and calms the mind. The aroma quickly transmits a healing message to the brain, nervous system and mind to dispel fatigue and enhances mental clarity.

Symbol
The lotus is the foremost symbol of beauty, prosperity, and fertility. Within each human is the spirit of the sacred lotus as it represents eternity, purity, divinity, and is widely used as a symbol of life, fertility, ever-renewing youth.
We at Advaya believe that a human is adjured to be like the lotus; they should work without attachment, like a beautiful flower standing high above the mud and water.
